02 The data we receive
The site creates no account and asks for no payment. The only data you send us goes through the parts request form ("Stock & parts" and "Contact" pages) :
- Your name — so we know who we are replying to ;
- Your email or phone — so that we can reply ;
- The vehicle (make, model, year) and the chassis number if you provide it — to identify the right part ;
- The text of your request — the part you are after.
These fields are free text : please don't send us sensitive information we don't need. The chassis number is optional ; it only serves to find the matching part.
03 Why, and on what basis
Sole purpose : to handle your request and reply to you — search the stock for the part, tell you whether it exists and in what condition, and arrange collection or shipping.
Legal basis (GDPR, art. 6) : performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request (art. 6.1.b) and, for following up, our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (art. 6.1.f).
Your data is not used for marketing, profiling or automated decision-making. You will not receive a newsletter.
04 Who has access
Requests arrive in the house mailbox and are read only by E.R. Auto. They are not sold, rented out or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
Two technical providers are necessarily involved :
- Hostinger — website hosting and message delivery ; servers located in the European Union ;
- the provider of the destination mailbox (Proximus/Skynet) — receipt and storage of the message.
No data transfer outside the European Economic Area is arranged.
05 How long
- Request with no follow-up : deleted at the latest 12 months after the last exchange ;
- Request that led to a sale : kept for the duration of the warranty and of Belgian accounting and tax obligations (7 years for supporting documents).
06 Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no tracking social buttons, no third-party chat. That is why no consent pop-up interrupts you : there is nothing to consent to.
The site loads no external resources. The typefaces are served from erauto.be, not from a third-party server : your IP address is passed neither to Google nor to anyone else. No font, no image and no script comes from another domain.
The host also keeps connection logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security and aggregated technical statistics, retained for a limited period. We do not use those logs to identify you.
07 Security
The site is served over HTTPS — what you send is encrypted in transit. The form is protected by an anti-robot trap field (honeypot), with no tracker and no third-party CAPTCHA. Access to the mailbox is password-protected.
08 Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data.
Just write to b.cession@skynet.be or by post to E.R. Auto SRL, Rue de Lantin 145, 4000 Rocourt, Belgium. We reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt about who is asking.
09 Complaints
If an answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the BelgianData Protection Authority : Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be — dataprotectionauthority.be.
10 Changes
This policy may change if the site changes (a new service, a new host). The online version prevails ; the date of the last update appears below.
